Humbert qualifies for the semi-finals in Paris!
After yesterday's win over Carlos Alcaraz, Ugo Humbert continued his fine form by beating Jordan Thompson (6-2, 7-6) to reach the semi-finals of the Paris Masters 1000.
The story continues for the Frenchman, who needed just an hour and a half to see off his opponent.
He did have a scare at the end of the match, however, when he gave up two match points (5-4, 40-15) before seeing the Australian serve for the set win at 6-5. But he quickly recovered to close out the match in the tie-break.
In his first Masters 1000 semi-final, Ugo Humbert will face the winner of the last quarter-final between Grigor Dimitrov and Karen Khachanov.
