I felt worse than ever on the court, Gauff breaks down in tears during her on-court interview

Despite a 7-6, 6-2 victory over Donna Vekic in the second round of the US Open, not everything was easy for Coco Gauff. Broken at 4-4 in the first set after yet another double fault, she began to cry on her chair.

Interviewed on the court after the match, the American once again couldn't hold back her emotions. She stated: "I'm happy to be back on this court and you bring me so much joy.

You really help me a lot. I do this for myself, but also for you. No matter how difficult it is, we can do it."

Asked about this emotional moment in the press conference, she explained: "I'm just showing people what it means to be human, and I have tough days, but I think what's important is how you bounce back from those difficult moments and how you carry yourself afterward.

Today, I showed that I can pick myself up after feeling worse than ever on the court.
