Inexhaustible Nadal snatches a third set from Navone!
The battle going on in Bastad is absolutely insane.
After more than 2h30 of battle, Rafael Nadal has just pushed Mariano Navone into a decisive 3rd set.
Faced with an opponent who is very adept at playing on clay, the Majorcan showed remarkable fighting spirit.
Alternating between the good and the feverish, the King of clay raised his game at the end of the set to pull level at one set apiece (6-7, 7-5 after 2h31 of play).
After missing two set points in the first act, 'Rafa' went through all the emotions again in this set.
He got off to a blistering start and quickly pulled away (3-0), then conceded 4 games in a row (3-4) before recovering to make the difference at the end of the set.
It will now come down to a final set to decide between the two men.
One thing's for sure: if Nadal wanted to test himself physically, he's been served!
