Harold Mayot got a nice win in the first round of the ATP 250 in Atlanta. Beaten in the second round of qualifying, he was drafted in as a Lucky Loser and made the most of it.

Against Borna Coric, he played a full match to qualify in two sets and just over 2 hours (7-6, 6-3).

The satisfied Frenchman also paid tribute to his victim of the day. He described the Croatian as "a legend of our sport".

Without wishing to offend Coric, who boasts a fine record and has already beaten some great players, some may find such a description excessive.

Be that as it may, Mayot continues his run and meets the event's No. 4 seed, Jordan Thompson, in the next round.

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.

It's a shame that so many matches are being canceled. TT ,you are destroying your game ,and thereby killing your app. I don't know how many matches others have had canceled , but I'm at 3 and it's only thursday.
