Mayot no match for Fonseca in Canberra

Mayot no match for Fonseca in Canberra

Harold Mayot played his quarter-final match at the Canberra Challenger against Joao Fonseca. He was the last Frenchman standing in the tournament.

Unfortunately for him, he came up against an in-form player, and lost 6-2, 6-3.

The winner of the Next Gen Masters last November continues to impress, and will face Jacob Fearnley in the semi-finals.

Mayot and Fonseca will meet again the week of January 6 in the Australian Open qualifiers, where everyone will no doubt want to avoid having to face the Brazilian.
