Gaël Monfils is living his last year on the professional tennis circuit. In a press conference at Indian Wells, he spoke about finance, a project he had already mentioned before.

He said: “Everything has an end. I'm happy to have felt the love of the public one last time and to thank them for accompanying me throughout this long journey.

The next chapter, I hope and I'm certain, will be even better. For now, next year, I'll work in finance, which will be completely different from tennis.

There might be a link with certain athletes and I'll probably stay close to the sport, but not necessarily tennis. In short, my next chapter will probably be the world of finance… and above all, family.”
