As of January 1, 2026, the International Tennis Federation (ITF) will officially become "World Tennis." A historic change, voted by 213 nations.
Founded in 1913, the ITF, the International Tennis Federation, will abandon its century-old acronym in 2026 to adopt a new name: World Tennis. This decision, communicated by our colleagues at L'Équipe, was voted by 213 national associations affiliated with the organization.
"World Tennis better reflects what we are today: the global governing body and guardian of tennis," said David Haggerty, the president of the ITF.
The federation promises to announce a new visual identity, a redesigned website, and an ambitious digital strategy by the end of 2025.
