Kafelnikov on Fonseca: "We will see him at the ATP Finals, next year or the year after"
In an interview given for the ATP media service, Yevgeny Kafelnikov discussed the case of Joao Fonseca. The Brazilian will finish this 2025 season in 24th place, marked by two ATP titles, including one in Basel.
For the Russian, we will see Fonseca in the Top 8 very soon and therefore participating in the ATP Finals. He states: "Given everything he has accomplished this season, I think João Fonseca is a player to watch closely next year.
He has won important tournaments, like the one in Basel a few weeks ago. If he continues on this momentum and at this rate of progression, I am convinced that, if not next year, then the year after, we will see him among us."
