Kvitova, Officially Retired Since the US Open, Awaits the Arrival of Her Second Child
Petra Kvitova has announced in recent hours that she is pregnant for the second time.
After playing the final match of her formidable career against Diane Parry at the US Open, Petra Kvitova is now retired. The 35-year-old left-hander, a former world No. 2 and winner of 31 professional titles, now wants to devote herself to her new life.
Having returned to the tour after more than a year and a half of absence at the start of the 2025 season, Kvitova is expecting a second child. It was the Czech player herself who confirmed the news on her Instagram account in recent days: "Our little boy is soon going to be a big brother," Kvitova wrote on the social network.
After giving birth to her son Petr right in the middle of the Wimbledon tournament in 2024, the former WTA tour champion will welcome her second child in the coming months.
