Kvitova warns fans of her comeback

Petra Kvitova has announced her return to competition in February, at the WTA 250 in Austin.

She had not played since October 2023 due to pregnancy and childbirth in July 2024.

She spoke of her return and her level of play: "I'll be 35 in March.

My tennis is not at a level where I can win tournaments, certainly not at the moment. I'll be happy if I win a match.

My last match was a long time ago. I'd like to tell people not to expect miracles.

We'll see with time whether things improve or not. Of course, I'm training, I'm doing everything I can for it and we'll see where it goes."

After Austin, the Czech will also play Indian Wells and Miami in March.
