Kvitova eager to return to competition: "I'll be happy for every match I win".
Petra Kvitova will return to the WTA Tour at the end of February at the Austin tournament.
The former world No. 2, who became the mother of a baby boy last year, spoke to Czech sports media about her eagerly-awaited comeback:
"After giving birth, I needed to go running, cycling, just to sweat it out. And I enjoyed playing tennis when I did. So I want to try it again.
I never said I was going to retire. I'm looking forward to it because I don't need to go back on a decision. I've always left the door open to a comeback.
I have no expectations for my return. I know it won't be easy. I'll be happy for every game I win."
