Petra Kvitova prepares for her return to competition in Austin
Petra Kvitova's return to the WTA Tour is just around the corner.
The Czech, former world No.2 and winner of two Grand Slam titles at Wimbledon in 2011 and 2014, confirmed ten days ago that she would be returning to competition at the WTA 250 tournament in Austin, Texas, scheduled from February 22 to March 2.
After giving birth to her first child in July, Kvitova, who turns 35 in March, will play in her first tournament since Beijing in 2023.
The left-handed player is stepping up her preparations for the tournament. On Instagram, Kvitova posted a photo of herself on court with the caption: "Training, working hard with humility.
My return to tournaments is getting closer and closer, and I'm enjoying every moment on court," reads the caption on the social network.
