Le n°24 mondial n’a pas joué un match cette année, et est même absent depuis 6 mois et son forfait en 1/4 à Tokyo, en octobre 2022.
L'Australien avait cependant bien prévu de jouer Roland-Garros, notamment pour faire découvrir Paris à sa petite amie.
