The Djokovic / Kyrgios double, a sympathy operation according to a Eurosport journalist

Earlier in the week, Nick Kyrgios revealed on his Instagram account that he would be playing doubles alongside Novak Djokovic at the Brisbane tournament.

The two men, who have been friends for several years, will therefore be the center of attention in the first week of the 2025 season.

Guido Monaco, an Italian journalist for Eurosport, was highly critical of this surprising doubles team: "I can understand that Djokovic likes to do sympathy operations.

The season starts in Australia, Kyrgios is Australian and he needs a sympathy operation, because who supports him now?

I've been watching his matches because he's capable of some extraordinary shots, but he doesn't deserve any help. He's staying on the path he's on.

Djokovic can't turn a blind eye to Kyrgios' nonsense.

This situation has to be analyzed in a certain way: those who have attacked Sinner in recent months are troublemakers who trace their roots back to Djokovic."
