Kyrgios on the Alcaraz-Sinner rivalry: "They don't have the aura of Federer and Djokovic".
Nick Kyrgios is preparing his return to the ATP circuit. The Australian has been away from the courts for almost two years, having played just one official match since the beginning of 2023.
In the meantime, Kyrgios continues to make his presence felt in the media.
On the Nothing Major podcast, the former world No. 13 discussed the new rivalry between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz.
"For me, they're just kids. Alcaraz and Sinner are generational talents and will probably be the best players in tennis, but they don't have the aura of Federer and Djokovic, at least not at the moment.
I couldn't face Federer by taking him into a psychological battle, it didn't work with him. But I've got a feeling it could work with these two guys.
If I play Sinner at the Australian Open, everyone will be watching because there's a contrast in personalities. We don't like each other, and I think that's a healthy thing in sport," he asserted.
