Despite his withdrawal from Monte-Carlo, Rafael Nadal has not given up on the idea of starting his clay-court season as soon as possible. Far from it. As soon as his stay in Monaco was cancelled, the Spaniard headed for Barcelona, where the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell (ATP 500) will be held next week.
The man with 14 Roland-Garros titles trained on the Catalan ochre surface on Wednesday (see video below). His main objective was to take part in the tournament, but probably also, given his champion mentality and with a little more ambition, to try and win it for the 12th time.
