Medvedev blows Tsitsipas away in Shanghai
Daniil Medvedev successfully passed his first real test of the tournament.
Faced with a Stefanos Tsitsipas who had rediscovered his consistency and efficiency, the Russian didn't let himself be trapped (7-6, 6-3).
Very solid on serve and in the exchange, he forced Tsitsipas to play many more shots than usual, forcing him to commit a large number of unforced errors (35).
Undaunted, Medvedev joins Jannik Sinner in the quarter-finals of the Shanghai Masters 1000.
