Medvedev: "He's probably the toughest opponent I've faced in my career".
Daniil Medvedev is a sure thing on the ATP circuit. World No. 5 this week, the Russian is a model of stability and danger in major tournaments.
Winner of the 2021 US Open, Medvedev is one hell of a competitor, capable of beating just about anyone.
On the sidelines of the Laver Cup (September 20-22), where he will be representing Team Europe, he was kind enough to answer a few questions and, in particular, reveal what he considers to be the most difficult opponent to face.
He explained that it was Carlos Alcaraz: "He's probably the toughest opponent I've faced in my career.
I'm going to try to raise my game next time I play Carlos, to try and do something new, something better."
