Le Français vient de se qualifier pour le 2e tour de Roland Garros alors qu'il paraissait battu et exténué. Il a sauvé une balle de 5/0 pour Baez dans le 5e set avant de retourner la situation à grand renfort de points venus d'ailleurs pour conclure en 3h47.
