Moutet Advances to Almaty Quarterfinals
Corentin Moutet faced Alexander Shevchenko in the round of 16 at the ATP 250 in Almaty. The match started very poorly for him, as he was down a double break. However, the Frenchman managed to regain his form and get back into the match, despite facing two set points from his opponent.
He secured the first set with a score of 7-5. He avoided a similar scare in the second set by securing a break in the fourth game, ultimately winning 7-5, 6-3.
In the quarterfinals, he will face either Karen Khachanov or Jan-Lennard Struff.
