Moya criticizes Nadal's farewell ceremony in Malaga: It was shabby.

Rafael Nadal retired from the world of professional tennis on Tuesday evening when Spain lost to the Netherlands in the Davis Cup.

Unfortunately, the organizers were taken by surprise by the result of the match and were unable to celebrate Nadal's farewell as they would have wished.

In fact, all the celebrities had been invited on Friday for the semi-final.

That's why Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray, who had announced their presence several weeks ago, weren't in the stands on Tuesday. The absence of Toni Nadal, the Majorcan's coach for most of his career, was also noted.

And in the former player's clan, disappointment was rife, as Carlos Moya commented: "The feeling is that it was a sloppy, shabby farewell.

It's true that it was a Tuesday night, but they'd known for months that if Spain lost, Rafa would retire. He's above all that."

Nadal should be more specific that this was his last match and not choose another "if".

Same as his famous CLASSY interview from Spanish TV about a year ago.

As for uncle Tony, he was busy harvesting his sour grapes.
