Muchova withdraws from Doha tournament
The draw for the Doha Masters 1000 takes place this Friday, February 7.
The top players on the WTA Tour will be present in Qatar, including defending champion Iga Swiatek, world number 1 Aryna Sabalenka, Coco Gauff and Elena Rybakina.
However, the tournament will be without Karolina Muchova. The Czech, ranked 17th in the world and recent semi-finalist at the WTA 500 tournament in Linz, has been forced to withdraw, as indicated on the official WTA website. The Roland Garros 2023 finalist is suffering from a leg injury.
Already forced to withdraw from the same tournament last year, Muchova is not the only player to have to cancel her presence in Doha.
Her compatriot Marie Bouzkova, who has also suffered a foot injury, will not be in the main draw for this 2025 event.
