Muller prefers to face Alcaraz than Djokovic: "It was almost relaxed".

Muller prefers to face Alcaraz than Djokovic: It was almost relaxed.

Alexandre Muller is trying to breathe new life into his career. Ranked 70th in the world this week, his career-high ranking, the 27-year-old Frenchman intends to turn a corner in the coming seasons.

Asked about the "goat" debate and what made Novak Djokovic so special, he explained that he had never felt such pressure as he did against the Serb, comparing his confrontations with Djokovic and Alcaraz.

Muller explained: "Against Novak, the truth is that I've never felt like that on a tennis court since. It was totally suffocating.

The guy leaves you nothing, not a crumb, it's horrible. I played Carlos Alcaraz at Wimbledon, and it was almost relaxing (defeat in the second round of Wimbledon 2023, 6-4, 7-6, 6-3).

Carlos lets you breathe a little, whereas Novak suffocates you all the time."
