"My goal is to break into the Top 10," reveals Cobolli
Flavio Cobolli ended the 2025 season in a fine manner by winning the Davis Cup with Italy. In an interview with Corriere della Sera, the Italian revealed his ambitions for the year 2026.
He stated: "We will take care of it during the preseason, after the holidays. I have confidence in my team, especially in my father, and I rely on him. My goal is clear: to break into the Top 10.
I don't know when or how, but to compete with Jannik and the others, I absolutely must work on my weaknesses. I need to improve my level of play. I don't think I have to win every time, but to progress, I have to play, win, and lose.
So far, my career has progressed gradually, step by step, exactly as I wished. Whether in the Davis Cup, the United Cup, or the Laver Cup, I started as a substitute before becoming a key player.
I climbed the ranks one by one, without faltering, with an almost naive authenticity. That's how you build a career, and for me, Bologna will forever remain a decisive turning point."
