Carlos Alcaraz is not in Olympic form. After a crazy summer in which he won the French Open and then Wimbledon, as well as Olympic silver in Paris, the El Palmar prodigy seems to be stuck, having lost 2 of his last 3 matches.
Asked about his young compatriot's state of form, Rafael Nadal was quick to show his support.
Asked about the possible negative impact of the incessant comparisons between the two Spaniards, 'Rafa' was reassuring: "I don't think comparisons with me will upset Alcaraz.
He's good enough that it doesn't affect him. He's making his own way.
He's going to be one of the best ever."
