Cobolli has ambitions for 2025: "I want to close the gap behind Alcaraz and Sinner".
Flavio Cobolli was one of the revelations of the men's circuit in 2024, rising from 101st in the world to 32nd at the end of the year.
The Italian, one of the rising stars of Italian tennis, had his best result of the season at the ATP 500 in Washington, where he reached the final.
Speaking to Ubitennis, Cobolli, who is in preseason with Carlos Alcaraz, unveiled an ambitious goal for the coming year: "Sinner and Alcaraz are the present and they will also be the future of this sport.
To reach their level is very difficult, but I want to close the gap behind them.
I'd love to put them to the test, which is something we (the players) haven't managed to do this year.
But I always support Jannik and respect Carlos a lot, so I'm very happy for them when they get good results."
