Noah lands a new position at the FFT
After captaining the French wheelchair tennis team at the Paris Olympics, Yannick Noah has taken a new step in his commitment to para-tennis.
Indeed, the French Tennis Federation has just announced that the 1983 French Open winner has been appointed national coordinator within the federation: "Yannick Noah will henceforth be in charge of all para-tennis activities within the National Technical Department: wheelchair tennis, deaf and hard-of-hearing tennis and céci-tennis.
Asked to comment, Noah said: "I'm delighted to be joining the paratennis team at the French Tennis Federation. I'd like to thank the FFT for the confidence it has placed in me for this new mission, which is particularly close to my heart.
I had an incredible human experience working alongside the players of the French wheelchair tennis team at the Paris Paralympic Games, and I didn't want this great story to end there. So I want to get fully involved in the development of paratennis.
