Osaka withdraws before her quarterfinal in Osaka
Naomi Osaka will not complete the Osaka tournament. Having qualified for the quarterfinals where she was set to face Jaqueline Cristian, the Japanese player was forced to withdraw due to a leg injury sustained in her previous round against Suzan Lamens.
The Japanese player is entered in the Tokyo and Hong Kong tournaments at the end of the season. As for Cristian, she has advanced to the semifinals and will face either Olga Danilovic or Tereza Valentova.
