Panatta: "Alcaraz must be careful, because otherwise he will no longer beat Sinner"

Adriano Panatta reflected on Jannik Sinner's triumph in Paris, while also discussing a potential final between Sinner and Alcaraz at the Masters.
In the space of a week, the 24-year-old Italian not only captured his first title in Paris, but also reclaimed the world number one spot from Carlos Alcaraz. A performance praised by Italian legend Adriano Panatta, but not without nuance.
"He did his duty because he was clearly the favorite after Alcaraz's elimination. He is back as world number one, even if it won't last long due to a diabolical system that I haven't understood and that I don't agree with. But Carlos must be careful: either he is always focused, or he will no longer beat him.
Because Sinner, he never arrives tired in the first or second round. When he loses, it's in the final, or because he is injured. But in any case, I truly hope for a final between the two. It would be the most beautiful gift that tennis could offer," said Panatta in an interview relayed by Tennis World Italia.
With the Masters approaching, many are therefore hoping for a new duel between Sinner and Alcaraz.
