Panatta responds to Alcaraz on Masters 1000: "He complains, but look at his schedule"

Alcaraz recently criticized the extended duration of Masters 1000 tournaments, claiming they are more exhausting than one-week events.
On the show *La Domenica Sportiva*, Adriano Panatta responded to the world No. 3. The Italian questioned the scheduling choices of certain players on the tour:
"I read that the Spaniard was complaining about the two-week Masters 1000s, but let’s take a closer look at his schedule. After Monte-Carlo, he went to Barcelona, then he’ll play Madrid, Rome, and Paris without a break.
These guys never stop. Let’s think logically: Is it a calendar problem or a scheduling issue because he’s always playing?"
The 74-year-old also added that the top players should focus only on major tournaments:
"I believe the goal for tennis players at this level should be the four Grand Slams and then 7-8 other significant tournaments between the different Masters 1000s. They should focus only on those.
You can’t play all the time and give your absolute best in every tournament. Not even someone like Alcaraz, who has incredible physicality, can do it. Besides, these players often get injured because they push too hard and move at insane speeds."
