Paul: "I played fantastic tennis to beat Dimitrov"
Tommy Paul won the 2024 Stockholm Open on Sunday. He played a near-perfect match in the final against Grigor Dimitrov (6-4, 6-3), who had almost no faults to exploit. This is the second time that the American has won in Sweden, after claiming his first ATP title in 2021.
He rose to the occasion throughout the week, never dropping a set, to finish in the apotheosis of the final. Naturally, he was delighted with his performances, particularly his last one against the Bulgarian.
Tommy Paul: "I feel like I've been playing better and better with every match. Today (Sunday) I played extraordinarily well, so I'm really happy with my performance.
This is a very special place for me. This is where I won my first title a few years ago (2021) and it's a dream to play the tennis I played this week."
