Pavlyuchenkova poursuit sa percée à Roland Garros.

Comme lors de ses deux tours précédents, la Russe a laissé échapper la première manche face à Mertens avant de serrer le jeu pour l'emporter en 3 sets. La finaliste de l'édition 2021 retrouvera Muchova ou Avanesyan en quarts.
