Playing at this level makes me very happy," says Sinner after his victory against Alcaraz
Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner faced each other at the Six Kings Slam in Riyadh after their US Open final clash. This time, it was the Italian who came out on top.
In the press conference, Sinner expressed satisfaction with his level of play and drew positives from this experience, even though it was just an exhibition match.
"I know this match is not a Grand Slam final, but we worked very hard to play at this level. I showed excellent tennis, I served very well on important points and I returned very well, so I take away many positive points from this.
All of this is part of a process. As I said after the US Open, we spent every day trying to determine what we needed to do, where we needed to work.
The difference lies mainly in our mentality during training and in matches. Playing at this level, which I find very high and which I maintained throughout the match, makes me very happy.
