Proving that we can sweat as much as the guys, former player Camille Pin advocates for best-of-five sets matches for women

It's an ongoing debate that still distinguishes men's tennis from women's tennis. In Grand Slam tournaments, men compete in best-of-five sets matches, which can sometimes lead to scenarios that remain in tennis history.

For women, matches are still best-of-three sets, but voices are now rising to call for the women's circuit to also benefit from extended contests. Eurosport consultant and former world No. 61 Camille Pin has voiced her opinion on the subject:

"Today, the girls are physical machines. In terms of strength, we can't compete with men, but in terms of endurance, the girls are just as strong. Physically or mentally, I don't see the problem. It's even absurd to say it's impossible. Today, women run marathons, participate in Ironman competitions.

At some point, equality must be everywhere. It's time to prove that we can sweat as much as the guys. Today, we no longer have global stars like the Williams sisters or Maria Sharapova. With five sets, we can give a heroic dimension to women's tennis and create new stars. Who knows? We're undermining the girls.

I'm supporting the idea of the best 5 in women's GS tournaments
