Querrey & Johnson: 'If Sinner Doesn't Win Indian Wells or Miami, Questions Must Be Asked'
On their podcast Nothing Major Show, Sam Querrey and Steve Johnson discussed Jannik Sinner's situation. Defeated in the quarterfinals in Doha and the semifinals at the Australian Open, the Italian is currently having a start to the season far from his expectations.
For the two Americans, the Masters 1000 events at Indian Wells and Miami will be crucial for Sinner: 'There's no need to panic, but I don't think if he wins at Indian Wells or Miami, then we should start asking questions,' Johnson stated.
'He Must Win One'
Querrey, for his part, said: 'Strangely, in my opinion, he absolutely must win one. Otherwise, I think there's really a problem.'
Sinner will have no points to defend during these two tournaments since he was suspended at this time last year.
