Rafael Nadal in Jeddah: "My goal is to inspire the next generation" — a journey filled with ambition
Next week, Rafael Nadal will make several media appearances on the occasion of the Next Gen Masters, which will be held in Jeddah (December 17-21) for one final time.
The king of clay will attend the tournament, in addition to meeting the players present and also the fans. As a reminder, he has been an ambassador for the Saudi Tennis Federation since 2024.
"My goal is to inspire the next generation"
For the ATP website, Nadal spoke about this few-day stop he will make in Saudi Arabia:
"Returning to Jeddah for the Next Gen ATP Finals is something I am looking forward to. I received a very warm welcome in Saudi Arabia and felt there was real energy around tennis.
As I have said before, my goal is to inspire the next generation, both in Saudi Arabia and around the world. Collaborating with the STF (Saudi Tennis Federation) to develop the immense potential of this sport in the region, which has already made impressive progress, is essential.
The reason for my return is to see this evolution at all levels and to contribute to this goal. I am very proud to help more young people pick up a racket, compete, or simply discover something new that they are passionate about."
