When interviewed by our Italian colleagues at Gazetta dello Sport, Rod Laver, a true tennis legend, admitted that he found it hard to say.
In his opinion, what is certain is that both are destined to shine: "Jannik Sinner is currently world number 1, and has won a Grand Slam. For such a young player, he's got a consistent game, and he's going to keep growing and improving, because that's what he wants.
It's hard to say who will be more successful, him or Alcaraz. It's a very fresh rivalry. Carlos has shown great mental strength, while Jannik is more sober and very calm. They'll be the two symbols of this new era in tennis."
