"You ruined my life for a decade." Amid laughter and nostalgia, Andy Roddick shared with Federer how much his farewell in London affected him.
Roddick invited Federer to his podcast on Saturday during the second day of the Laver Cup. The two men, former rivals, were able to discuss various topics for about twenty minutes, including the Swiss player's retirement.
Roddick talked about this moment of communion during the 2022 Laver Cup in his own way:
"I mean, you ruined my life for a decade! But I was still moved when I watched the ceremony with Rafa, Novak... I know you wanted to retire quickly. Health became a priority for you at some point."
