Ruud to Nadal: "Please don't retire yet".
Interviewed from Turin, where he is competing in the Masters and even triumphed over Carlos Alcaraz in his first group match (6-1, 7-5), Casper Ruud was keen to send a message to Rafael Nadal.
Echoing the words of Novak Djokovic, the Norwegian asked the man who inspired him to take up tennis to wait a little longer before retiring: "Novak said it well during the Saudi tournament. Please don't retire yet, you have so many fans all over the world."
As a reminder, after dominating the Majorcan at the Six Kings Slam, the glittering exhibition organized by Saudi Arabia, Djokovic had declared: "Don't quit tennis. Stay a little longer. Stay with us."
