"Rybakina Should Have 2 or 3 More Grand Slams," Says an American Journalist

After a mixed season, Elena Rybakina ended on a high note by winning the WTA Finals against Aryna Sabalenka. But for journalist Steve Flink, the best is yet to come: he sees her as a future multiple Grand Slam champion, provided she rediscovers the serenity that carried her at Wimbledon in 2022.

Elena Rybakina finished her 2025 season very strongly by qualifying for the WTA Finals and then winning them by defeating Aryna Sabalenka in the final. However, she did not advance past the round of 16 in Grand Slam tournaments this year.

"May Calm Replace Turmoil"

American journalist Steve Flink commented on the Kazakh player's situation: "I hope that calm will replace turmoil and that she can play at her best level, because when she is in a state of calm like at Wimbledon in 2022, she is more than capable of winning Grand Slam tournaments.

She should have two or three more in her record by now. Perhaps, who knows, next year will be her moment, and I hope she will be able to capitalize on what we saw at the end of the year."

She has conquered the tennis world, but her triumph at the WTA Finals has reawakened resentments. Between national pride and diplomatic quarrels, Elena Rybakina finds herself at the heart of an unexpected tug-of-war between Moscow and Astana.

Hello I'm new

I am surprised about relatively low attendance at Roland Garros which was the most popular slam 20+ years ago. I myself love it as well as really loving aus and us opens. I don't care about Wimbledon, sometimes maybe I can watch women's tennis. I hate Wimbledon's white dress code, I feel like I am watching junior tennis...I watched very few matches like Graf davenport final in 1999 the last time.....
