Sinner and Alcaraz, Two Visions of Rest: Between Ibiza, the Alps, and the Quest for Vital Balance
The new generation, faced with an increasingly packed schedule, sometimes struggles to find its balance during the off-season.
Carlos Alcaraz, Between Ibiza and El Palmar
Carlos Alcaraz, despite his young age, has already publicly expressed his difficulties in taking real vacations. As the world number one, constantly in demand, the Spaniard openly advocates for a lighter schedule.
But when he manages to take a break, he prefers destinations conducive to mental decompression. Ibiza, for example, has become a place for him to disconnect after intense periods, especially following major victories.
But that's not all. The 22-year-old player also favors a return to his roots, at home in El Palmar (Spain), where he enjoys spending time with his family and childhood friends. These stays allow him to reconnect, release pressure, and come back mentally fresher.
Sinner in Dubai: Between Rest and Gradual Return
On his side, Jannik Sinner adopts a more discreet but equally structured approach. Surrounded by a team attentive to workload management, the Italian prefers recovery phases combining rest, treatments, and gradual return, rather than long complete breaks.
He has been spotted several times in the Italian Alps during the off-season, an environment conducive to recovery in nature, away from media frenzy.
This year, he went to Dubai to unwind, before following up with a gradual return at the facilities of the performance center created by Patrick Mouratoglou.
