Adriano Panatta, former world No. 4 in 1976, spoke about Jannik Sinner and the possibility for him to achieve a Calendar Grand Slam, meaning winning all 4 Grand Slams in a single season.

According to him, his compatriot would have a better chance of achieving this than his great rival, Carlos Alcaraz. For Tuttosport, he explains: "I think Sinner has a better chance of achieving it one day than Alcaraz.

Jannik is more consistent, more solid and performs well on all surfaces. It was always said that clay was more difficult for him, but we saw what he did at Roland Garros with three match points...

I am convinced that Sinner is capable of it. Keeping Cahill on the team is precisely for this reason. Jannik can do it, I am convinced of it. Like every player, he must constantly improve.

And he has already proven it through his work: his serve has become much more consistent. He can improve a lot at the net because it is more difficult for him to hit low balls. He could use more precise and controlled shots there. He can also gain in physical power.

Jannik Sinner
2e, 10300 points
Carlos Alcaraz
1e, 13650 points

Despite top-10 ATP rankings and consistent excellence, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Gaël Monfils, Richard Gasquet, and Gilles Simon never claimed a Grand Slam title, enduring mockery from French media amid Big 3 dominance. A deep dive into a talented generation defined by sky-high expectations and brutal competition.

As much as I love watching Alcaraz at his best, I'd love to see Alex taking this, he's such a tryer, and getting married and his humour and humility...

Favoritism?

Last year: Sinner seed 1, the organizers schedule Alcaraz on day 1, Sinner on day 2.

This year: Alcaraz seed 1, the organizers schedule Alcaraz on day 1, Sinner on day 3.

That means: 7 matches in 15 days for Alcaraz, 7 in 13 days for Sinner; and no rest day for Sinner between quarter and semis, 1 full day rest for Alcaraz.

Also, on the first very hot day, the organizers schedule Sinner...
