Sinner: "It's all about experience and learning".

Confirming his stratospheric start to the season, Jannik Sinner took his revenge on Holger Rune this Friday in Monte-Carlo. He won in three sets (6-4, 6-7, 6-3) after a hard-fought battle. The Italian was very pleased with his level and his handling of the situation. That's what he told us after the match.

Jannik Sinner: "Playing against Rune is never easy. Especially on occasions like this. I'm very happy to have won today, and mainly because of my level of play. I raised my level a bit, it was more physical, there were more long rallies. I'm feeling better and better, so I'm satisfied with my match.

I stayed focused on my side of the court (when Rune argued with the supervisor or shouted at the audience). These things happen. There was no problem... Without that you can create a bit of chaos, I learned that from last year (he lost to Rune in the semi-finals).

It's all about experience and learning, it's a process. Even if I'd lost today, I'd have learned too. I'm very happy with what's happened. It was a very tough fight. But I stayed focused on the match more than anything else.

Tomorrow will also be a complicated match. Stefanos (Tsitsipas) is playing very well. So we'll see what happens."

Hello I'm new

5j

I am surprised about relatively low attendance at Roland Garros which was the most popular slam 20+ years ago. I myself love it as well as really loving aus and us opens. I don't care about Wimbledon, sometimes maybe I can watch women's tennis. I hate Wimbledon's white dress code, I feel like I am watching junior tennis...I watched very few matches like Graf davenport final in 1999 the last time.....
