Sinner on the World Anti-Doping Agency's appeal: "I'm disappointed".
Jannik Sinner thought he was out of the woods.
Cleared a few weeks ago following positive doping tests in March, the Italian learned this Saturday that the story was far from over.
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has decided to appeal the decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
Asked about this turn of events, the world number 1 declared: "I'm disappointed and surprised by this appeal, to be honest.
We've had three hearings and they've all ended positively for me. I didn't expect it, it's a surprise.
I've known for a few days that they were going to appeal and that it would be made official today, but yes, I'm surprised.
We're still talking about the same thing. Maybe they just want to make sure everything's in place."
