Sinner savours his 2024 season: "It's the result of many years of commitment".
Jannik Sinner has dominated the ATP circuit this season. The Italian, the undisputed world number 1 in recent months, has won 73 matches and lost just six since January.
He has added two Grand Slams, three Masters 1000, the ATP Finals and the Davis Cup to his already impressive list of honours.
In an interview with Super Tennis, Sinner looks back over the past few months, which have been full of success but also marked by his positive clostebol test at Indian Wells.
"The best thing has been the affection of the public. We've had some difficult moments. A lot of things happened on the outside.
I had honest people around me, there were difficult moments.
Now I have the opportunity to thank my team, the people who are close to me and the public who have supported me since January 1," he asserted.
"We're all obviously very happy with this season, we've had an excellent year. We ended it in the best possible way with victory at the Billie Jean King Cup and then we went on to win the Davis Cup.
It couldn't have ended any better than that. It's a great job, but it's the result of many years of commitment. It's a big commitment, but we're all happy."
