"Sinner Would Not Be Here Without Alcaraz," Says a Historic Voice in Tennis

According to Elena Pero, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are inseparable, destined to push each other toward a greatness unattainable alone.

Sinner-Alcaraz: Heirs to Federer-Nadal

For Elena Pero, a historic voice in Italian tennis, the comparison is not at all exaggerated.

In an interview shared by Tennis World Italia, she traces the golden thread connecting the great tennis rivalries: Federer-Nadal, Nadal-Djokovic, and now Alcaraz-Sinner.

And she reminds us that the greatest champions never reach the summit alone:

"Federer would never have achieved his greatness without Nadal, and vice versa. Today, Sinner owes his growth to Alcaraz, just as Alcaraz would not be complete without Sinner."

"If they were joined by a third, we would have ten years of happiness"

But Pero goes even further. According to her, this rivalry only needs to be enriched by a third protagonist, the "Djokovic" of this new generation, to offer a decade of absolute sporting pleasure.

A hypothesis that thrills fans, as Sinner-Alcaraz matches already offer an intensity rarely seen at their age.

Exhausted but omnipresent stars, ever-longer tournaments and exhibitions that have become a business in their own right: tennis is revealing its deepest contradictions, torn between spectacle and physical survival.

Rest or business? Behind the smiles of exhibitions, a tension is growing: that of a sport that never stops, even when it claims to be taking a breather.

While the season should be coming to an end, tennis refuses to stop. Stars are multiplying spectacular exhibitions, between show, business, and passion.

Hello I'm new

3j

I am surprised about relatively low attendance at Roland Garros which was the most popular slam 20+ years ago. I myself love it as well as really loving aus and us opens. I don't care about Wimbledon, sometimes maybe I can watch women's tennis. I hate Wimbledon's white dress code, I feel like I am watching junior tennis...I watched very few matches like Graf davenport final in 1999 the last time.....

It will really be befitting if he attains his 25th Grand Slam crown at the AO for he's truly the GOAT & this will stamp him & endorse his GOAT status without an iota of doubt

Almost as important to Djokovic as Slam #25--and requiring less luck--is beating Federer's total of 103 singles titles. He'll play 250s, and might even surpass Connors's 109.
