Stats - Medvedev's 75th career ATP quarter-final!

Daniil Medvedev has just passed a milestone.

The Russian defeated a fine Adrian Mannarino (7-6, 6-2) to book his place in the quarter-finals of the Beijing tournament, where he will face Flavio Cobolli.

Interviewed in the press conference, Medvedev talked about what it meant to him to have now reached the top 8 of an ATP tournament 75 times.

Rather smiling, he said: "Titles are obviously more important. But even so, 75 quarter-finals is great.

When I reached my first quarter-final, it was in Moscow and I was pretty happy. And now I'm up to 75.

I'm still happy, but not in the same way. If you want to win the tournament, you have to be in the quarter-finals."
