Stats - Who made the best use of their backhand in 2024?

Tennis Insights continues its review of the 2024 season. While tennis doesn't really get underway again until December 31, the off-season allows us to draw some lessons from the past year.

In order to better understand the strengths and weaknesses of the world's best players, the account has used ATP data to study the players' setbacks more specifically.

Comparing the percentage of backhands played inside the court and the percentage of successful backhand winners, they were able to compare the different players referenced.

Gasquet appears to be the most solid backhand player according to his data (more than 89% of backhands played on court, more than 5% of backhands played were winners).

Richard Gasquet
129e, 470 points
