Swiatek First to Qualify for Quarterfinals in Cincinnati

Iga Swiatek had to wait four days to return to the courts at the WTA 1000 in Cincinnati following Marta Kostyuk's withdrawal in the third round.

Back in action this Wednesday, the world No. 3 faced former world No. 21 Sorana Cirstea. Against a player she had previously defeated in all their past encounters (4-0 before this match), Swiatek once again dominated the match, defeating the Romanian 6-4, 6-3 in 1 hour and 34 minutes.

A smooth victory that makes her the first player to reach the tournament's quarterfinals. She will face either Ekaterina Alexandrova or Anna Kalinskaya, who will play in the final match on the center court.

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.
