Swiatek on her Wimbledon title: "A dream come true"
Iga Swiatek made a statement at this 2025 edition of Wimbledon by handing a 6-0, 6-0 defeat to Amanda Anisimova in the final. It was also the first time in her career that she had won this tournament.
Speaking to Polsat Sport, she reflected on the tournament: "If someone had told me earlier what would happen at Wimbledon this year, I wouldn't have believed it. This season has been even more special for me thanks to my victory in London.
In short, it was a dream come true, something unexpected that makes me even happier. I played there with no expectations, simply focusing on executing the plan we had prepared as best as possible and replicating what I had worked on in training.
This preparation period for Wimbledon was the most intense of all the years on grass, so the results were immediately visible, and we will use the same system to prepare for Wimbledon in the years to come."
